The Jack of Hearts are the most "innocent" of the Jacks, but not the most immature. He is considered the Christ Principle; it's place is at the center of the cross drawn across the spread of all cards.

It's natural for these people to develop a martyr complex - for good or for ill. When they have learned the folly of this attitude of mind, they abandon it, but martyrs they actually are --- especially in youth. Up to the age of 18, there are many sacrifices demanded of them - in love, in education or in cherished objectives. The hardest lesson for these children of love to learn is impersonality. If they cannot choose it in early life, they must learn its value the hard way.

Jack of Hearts are essentially teachers. Their power lies in the Law of Love and their commission is to preach its gospel. To do this effectively, they must live it - and the path they have to follow is not made for easy going.

There are "negatives" among these birth dates of course; careless, thoughtless or indifferent escapists who seem to contribute nothing except the problem of themselves - but they are invariably kindly, friendly and cooperative. They never bear grudges and never leave you worse off than they find you. At their worst they have something to commend them.
